Improper Tamil version Advertisement for Birla Sun Life Insurance

Recently came across the advertisement for Birla sun life insurance telecast-ed in a Tamil channel.

Similar advertisement telecast-ed in Hindi can be viewed in link
here

In tamil version, The girl talks about the profession of being chef , serving biriyani for her father.

She tells her father that, had she had become a Teacher as per her father advice, she would be putting egg's in paper (zero mark in evaluating paper) instead of preparing egg biriyani.

Is teaching profession meant for putting zero's in evaluation sheet? It is for sure degrading a profession. I hope they edit and correct the advertisement.

anarkali masakali rasakali lasakali (etc etc)kali...

The hot trend salwar's during this festive time for south indian ladies is the maskali.. The Masakali season started last year itself i guess, but it picked up well in the market only this year as the starting prize of the dress was reduced.

every where talks on masakali only. people were also discussing what's there with this name and got information that there is one Hindi song which starts with masakali..

googling gave me updates that it is from movie "Delhi 6" and in which the masakali is the name of the dove in the song. hence this is not the reason for salwar name..

On hearing name masakali, i could recall the name anarkali salwar.. probably they chose the name masakali as it rhymes with the name.

i also remember the anarkali was some dancer during the period of akbar.. on googling i got the info below.

History of Anarkali salwar kameez:

Anarkali ("pomegranate blossom") was a legendary slave girl from Lahore (Pakistan) during the Mughal period. She was a RajNartika. She was a dancer at palace of Great Mughal emperor Akbar. She was supposedly ordered to be buried alive by Mughal emperor Akbar for having an illicit relationship with Prince Nuruddin Salim later to become Emperor Jahangir. Due to the lack of evidence and sources, the story of Anarkali is widely accepted to be either false or heavily embellished. Nevertheless, her story is cherished by many and has been adapted into literature, art and cinema.

The dance called mujra or mujara was famous that time. Famous dancers at palace of mughal kings dance for entertainment of Mughal kings. So, the dresses were worn by the dancers while mujra dance called as mujra / mujara dresses. Later they got famous by name Anarkali dresses or Anarkali salwar kameez in the rememberance of a great dancer and a passionate lover Anarkali.

so now it explains clearly.. all the series of masakali, rasakali , lasakali, etc etc kali's are the series of anarkali type salwar with slight modifications.

They are just making business by giving different name so that it reaches wide market and give huge profit. so instead of having one salwar, people might want to get one in each type (i mean one dress from each of the list of kali's)

so what's your type of salwar for this Diwali??

keep watching this site for a new post on silk sarees..

Performance Evaluation

When you take a long time, you're slow.
When your man takes a long time, he's thorough.

When you don't do it, you're lazy.
When your man doesn't do it, he's too busy.

When you make a mistake, you're an idiot.
When your man makes a mistake, he's only human.

When you're out of the home, you're wandering around.
When your man is out of the home, he's on important business.

When you're on phone call for long, you're wasting time.
When your man is on a call, he's on essential conversation.

When you sleep for long, you are irresponsible.
When your man wakes up late, he's really tired.

the list does not end here.. but i don't want to drag it further.. sample is enough. So ending it here..

Well.. this is about the majority case.. If you say , its the other way in your case, just replace the "man" with "woman" and "he's" by "she's"

Scary dreams...

Dreams come from memories in your mind . Your brain mixes up the memories and comes up with a dream.

I'm not going to talk about Sigmund Freud's/ Carl Jung's/ anybody's theory on dreams here.. I am just going to share about couple of my dreams which i have had in my midnight sleep and possible reasons for getting such dreams. Who knows... you might also have got few of those like me or got all of the dreams which I state here.

Case 1 : Missing hall ticket for exam / Late for exam hall / Present on a day where your exam is over previous day

Hold on... I am not talking about this dream you had while you did your schooling or graduation. These dreams do come when you are in a profession.. where you do not have these kind of attempts in your past education history

I used to wonder, when i am not doing any part time course and not having any exam in coming weeks, whey I get such dream? I could assume that this type of dream is nothing but we are stressed too much in office or nearing deliverables at work place.

Case 2 : Bunch of hair comes from your head / All teeth are broken and fall out / losing your senses like becoming deaf , blind etc

hmm...either you are too much worried about yourself or stressed out too much which will cause these kind of dreams..

Case 3 : animals or insect bite you / animals talk and threaten you...

When i mention here about animal bite, some take it spritual and want to seek temple for remedies though it came in dream..May be this case of dream could could be an effect of watching too much animated cartoon movies like narnia / ice age etc..

Though one gets scared on having such dreams, we will feel much relieved on waking up.. because they were just dreams and we are safe..

It's good to see that kids are not getting affected by the breakage of relation between parents and they accept the new relation too.

But, I'm not sure why these kids are in side of Father.. is it the financial support they get or the power of Men in the society?

I've heard a statement.... "My children and your children are playing with our children"... Soon this might become a common statement in India too..

What is a blog?

I recently came across few tamil/english blog sites where i came to know about many people who spend their half of their day in typing and posting contents in blog on a daily basis.

half of them were mainly the catchy news which comes in the news paper or magazines or movie review or about people in media. they just provide link or copy paste the contents.

There are few writers who gain constant readers via this blog/websites. They post their articles in their site and based on the comments from the readers, they modify and publish the books easily.

Blog is a easy way to gain publicity, at least among the people who have access to computers/mobile phone with internet connection.

Have you ever tried to write a article and get it posted in a magazine? you will have to wait endlessly for getting it published.

But this is achieved at free of cost if you have basic knowledge about creation of blog and posting contents.

There are people who are registering their blog in the sites and having meeting with their co blogger. Very funny.

There were writers in the past who want to stay away from other writers and readers. But these bloggers meet and post articles with photos explaining what happened in the meeting.

The life time of some blog sites are also short. They come in, very active for a year or two and disappear.

Now, the blog readers are the ones who waste their time by reading such blogs.

Technology is a boon in few ways, at the same time curse in many ways. It is we who have to use it for boon than to get in to the trap of curse.

Ahh... now that explains why there is no post from me for the past two months.. I think twice before writing something, If it is really worth spending time in typing and posting.

Let my blog be filled with articles which will give some message to readers than just being a source of entertainment.
